Abstract: The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 poses a serious threat to human life and safety. At present, there is no clear and effective antiviral therapy for large-scale clinical use, so there are great difficulties in antiviral therapy. After the advent of the 2019-nCoV vaccine, it has shown good protective effect on the population. However, the virus is highly susceptible to mutation and the emergence of mutated strains that reduce the protection of existing vaccines against human infection and increase the risk of 2019-nCoV infection. In this paper, the virology characteristics of seven 2019-nCoV mutant strains concerned by the World Health Organization are briefly described, and the virology characteristics of seven mutant strains are summarized and analyzed, providing ideas for clinical diagnosis, treatment and drug research of this virus, with important clinical significance.
