Progress of new MRI techniques in diagnosis of liver fibrosis

Abstract: Liver fibrosis is an injured and healing reaction of various chronic liver diseases. Early diagnosis and treatment plays an important role in the halt of the progression.Accurate liver fibrosis staging is helpful for formulation plan of treatment, evaluation of prognosis and prevention and treatment of complications. Recently, there are new perspectives for diagnosis and treatment from multiple new non-invasive magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) techniques. This paper aims to review the recent progress of new MRI techniques for staging liver fibrosis.
