Abstract: Objective To understand the epidemiological characteristics of adult Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection in Bazhong area, identify risk factors, and formulate targeted disease prevention strategies. Method From January 2017 to January 2020, 1998 local adults who underwent Hp infection detection in Bazhong area were investigated. The Hp infection rate in the past 4 years was counted, and the Logistic regression equation was used to analyze the influencing factors of Hp infection. Result The total detection rate of the 1198 population tested for Hp infection was 10.18% (122/1198); logistic regression model analysis, male (OR=2.834), 41-65 years old (OR=2.843), smoking (OR=3.454), alcohol consumption (OR=3.389), meal gathering ≥1 time/week (OR=2.831), fasting blood glucose (FBG)≥4.75mmol/L (OR=3.424) and density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C)≤1.39mmol/L (OR=3.486) were risk factors for Hp infection in Bazhong. Conclusion The prevalence of Hp infection in adults in Bazhong was 10.18%. Men, age 41-65 years, history of smoking, history of alcohol consumption, gathering for meals ≥1 time/week, fasting blood glucose (FBG)≥4.75mmol/L and HDL-C≤1.39mmol/L were risk factors for Hp infection.
