The progress of human papilloma virus vaccination to prevent infection and related cancers

Abstract: Persistent infection with human papilloma virus (HPV) is a major cause of HPV-related cancers such as cervical, vaginal and vulvar cancers, as well as anal, penile and oropharyngeal cancers.HPV vaccination can prevent the occurrence of HPV infection and related cancers, and is a primary prevention measure for the prevention and control of HPV infection-related diseases HPV vaccine is the world's first vaccine for cancer prevention, since the clinical application, the incidence of HPV infection and its associated cervical cancer has decreased, the vaccine has shown good protective efficacy and safety, but also accumulated some research data on oral, vulvar and vagina, penis and anal HPV infection and related cancers. With the increase in the scope of vaccination and the expansion of indications, the safety of HPV vaccines has also received more and more attention. This article reviews the research progress on the protective effect and safety of HPV vaccine according to the latest literature, and provides data reference for HPV vaccine vaccination.
